H.J. RES. 109House 20243x

Overturning a Biden Administration Rule Making it Cost Prohibitive for Banks to Hold Crypto-Currencies for their Customers.

Against CEA
This resolution introduced by Rep. Mike Flood (R-NE) utilizes the Congressional Review Act (CRA) to nullify a Biden administration rule issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission on March 31, 2022, titled "Staff Accounting Bulletin No. 121". This rule requires financial institutions and firms that are safeguarding their customers' digital assets (such as crypto-currency) to hold the assets on their balance sheet. The rule has received criticism due to the fact the regulations makes it cost prohibitive for banks and other financial institutions to serve as custodians for digital assets.
SUPPORT is the CEA Position, based on:
Leviticus 25:10"Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each of you is to return to your family property and to your own clan."
Leadership Insight
The Year of Jubilee proclaimed economic liberty - restoration of property, cancellation of debts, and freedom from bondage. Economic freedom follows this biblical pattern: protecting property rights, enabling debt relief through bankruptcy rather than permanent servitude, and ensuring families can rebuild wealth across generations. Government policies that permanently trap families in poverty, extract generational wealth through death taxes, or prevent property ownership contradict Jubilee's vision of economic restoration.
H.J. RES. 136House 20243x

Blocking Biden Administration Mandates that Force 70% of New Car Sales to be Electric by 2032.

Against CEA
This resolution introduced by Rep. John James (R-MI) utilizes the Congressional Review Act (CRA) to nullify a Biden administration rule issued by the Environmental Protection Agency on April 18, 2024, titled "Multi-Pollutant Emissions Standards for Model Years 2027 and Later Light-Duty and Medium-Duty Vehicles". This rule, which requires roughly 70% of new car and truck sales to be electric in less than 10 years, imposes much stricter emission standards for cars and light-duty trucks.
SUPPORT is the CEA Position, based on:
Exodus 1:17"The midwives, however, feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them to do; they let the boys live."
Leadership Insight
The Hebrew midwives ran small businesses providing essential services - and Pharaoh demanded they weaponize their commerce against the innocent. Economic freedom includes the right to refuse government mandates that violate conscience or harm others. When the state commands businesses to participate in evil, faithful entrepreneurs must resist. Economic liberty is not unlimited - it is bounded by moral duty to God, not government.
H.J. RES. 98House 20245x

Utilizing the Congressional Review Act to Overturn Anti-Small Business Regulations Imposed by the Biden Administration Surrounding "Joint Employer Status".

Against CEA
This resolution introduced by Rep. John James (R-MI) utilizes the Congressional Review Act (CRA) to nullify a Biden administration rule issued by the National Labor Relations Board on October 27, 2023, titled "Standard for Determining Joint Employer Status". The rule largely reestablished the broad Obama-era standard of "joint employment" whereby one company could be held legally liable for another businesses' employees even if they do not directly oversee them. This rule has a large impact on business and labor law, including collective bargaining, pay, scheduling and employer liability for unfair labor practices.
SUPPORT is the CEA Position, based on:
Matthew 20:13-15"But he answered one of them, 'I am not being unfair to you, friend. Didn't you agree to work for a denarius? Take your pay and go. I want to give the one who was hired last the same as I gave you. Don't I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?'"
Leadership Insight
Jesus validates voluntary employment agreements between workers and employers. Workforce freedom protects the right of both parties to negotiate terms without union coercion, government wage mandates, or third-party interference. The workers agreed to a denarius - and that agreement was fair. Freedom in the workforce means honoring contracts and rejecting forced collectivism.

Fueling Out-of-Control Spending through a Government Funding Package Containing Over $100 Billion in Disaster Aid and Farm Subsidies with No Fiscal Offsets.

Against CEA
The final version of the "American Relief Act, 2025" passed on December 20, 2024 and sponsored by Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK) would fund the government through March 14, 2025. The bill also includes more than $100 billion in disaster aid and $10 billion in economic aid to farmers, as well as an extension of the farm bill through Sept. 30, 2025. This version of the bill does not include a two-year suspension of the debt limit as had been advocated by President-elect Trump.
OPPOSE is the CEA Position, based on:
Luke 14:28-30"Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?"
Leadership Insight
Vision must meet calculation. God honors leaders who count costs before claiming promises. Stewardship without foresight breeds collapse.
H.R. 115House 20245x

Advancing the Elimination of $1.34 Trillion of Biden Administration Regulations through the "Midnight Rules Relief Act".

Against CEA
The "Midnight Rules Relief Act" sponsored by Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) allows Congress to disapprove multiple regulations under one joint resolution of disapproval if the regulations were submitted for review during the last 60 legislative days of the final year of a President's term. Currently, each joint resolution may disapprove of only one regulation. According to the sponsor, the bill "allows Congress to rein in unelected bureaucrats. Biden's bureaucrats imposed more than $1.34 trillion in regulations in 2024 alone."
SUPPORT is the CEA Position, based on:
Isaiah 10:1-2"Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless."
Leadership Insight
God pronounces woe on lawmakers who craft economic policies that oppress the poor through excessive taxation, regulatory barriers to entry, and cronyism that favors the connected over the capable. Economic freedom is justice for the poor - when the working class keeps more of their earnings, when small businesses can compete without crushing compliance costs, and when families can build wealth without government extraction. Unjust economic laws always hit the poor hardest.

Condemning Calls to "Defund the Police" and Expressing Condolences to Law Enforcement Officers who Made the Ultimate Sacrifice in the Line of Duty.

With CEA
This resolution introduced by Rep. Pete Stauber (R-MI) condemns calls to defund the police and recognizes that law enforcement officers must have the equipment, training, and resources necessary to protect the health and safety of the public and their fellow law enforcement officers. The resolution also expresses condolences and appreciation to the loved ones of each law enforcement officer who has made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Romans 13:1-4"Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves."
Leadership Insight
Government authority is legitimate only when it reflects God's design - to punish evil and reward good. Leaders submit to righteous authority but resist tyranny. Romans 13 is not a blank check for government overreach; it's a framework for godly governance rooted in justice.

Strengthening National Security and Intellectual Property Rights through the "Protect America's Innovation and Economic Security from CCP Act".

Against CEA
The "Protect America's Innovation and Economic Security from CCP Act" sponsored by Rep. Lance Gooden (R-TX) would reestablish the "China Initiative" at the Department of Justice (DOJ), which the Biden administration ended in 2022. Under the bill, the program is renamed the "CCP Initiative" and will (1) counter nation-state threats to the United States; (2) curb spying by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) on U.S. intellectual property and academic institutions; (3) identify and prosecute individuals engaged in trade secret theft, hacking, and economic espionage; and (4) protect U.S. critical infrastructure from foreign threats.
SUPPORT is the CEA Position, based on:
Proverbs 21:15"When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers."
Leadership Insight
Justice is not neutral - it rewards righteousness and confronts evil. Leaders who execute justice faithfully create cultures where virtue thrives and corruption fears. Moral clarity strengthens societies; moral ambiguity weakens them.
H.R. 1425House 20243x

Ensuring Americans Maintain Control over Public Health Policy and Not the World Health Organization Through the "No WHO Pandemic Preparedness Treaty Without Senate Approval Act".

Against CEA
The "No WHO Pandemic Preparedness Treaty Without Senate Approval Act" sponsored by Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-WI) would require any agreement on pandemic prevention or response reached by the World Health Organization (WHO) to be approved by a two-thirds majority of the U.S. Senate. According to the sponsor, the bill is aimed at protecting American sovereignty against the WHO.
SUPPORT is the CEA Position, based on:
Romans 14:3-4"The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them. Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall."
Leadership Insight
Paul's protection of conscience applies directly to healthcare freedom. No government or employer has authority to mandate medical treatments, vaccines, or procedures that violate sincere religious or moral conviction. Healthcare freedom means patients and providers can follow conscience in medical decisions without coercion, contempt, or punishment. When healthcare mandates override conscience, they violate the biblical principle that each person is accountable to their own Master.

Advancing American Energy Dominance by Requiring the Department of Interior to Hold More Frequent Lease Sales and Speed up the Permitting Process through the "CLEAN Act".

Against CEA
The "Committing Leases for Energy Access Now (CLEAN) Act" sponsored by Rep. Russ Fulcher (R-ID) would require the Department of Interior (DOI) to hold lease sales every year, rather than every two years. Additionally, the bill helps speed up the permit process for lease sales by setting a 30-day deadline for the DOI to notify an applicant if a permit has been approved. According to the sponsor, the bill "will hold the Department of Interior accountable and is key to bolstering domestic energy production, reducing our reliance on foreign adversaries and meeting America's growing energy demands."
SUPPORT is the CEA Position, based on:
Proverbs 31:16"She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard."
Leadership Insight
The Proverbs 31 woman models entrepreneurial excellence and economic freedom. God honors women who steward resources wisely and create wealth through diligence. Leadership values capability over cultural limitations - competence creates opportunity.
H.R. 1449 (Grijalva Amd. 1)House 20242x

Obstructing American Energy Production through Significant Additional Delays and Requirements for Geothermal Permits by Amending the "CLEAN Act".

Against CEA
The Rep. Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ) amendment #1 to the "Committing Leases for Energy Access Now (CLEAN) Act" would enact significant delays in the permitting process for geothermal drilling. Under the bill, the timeline for an agency to respond to a project applicant on whether their geothermal drilling permit application is complete or deficient would triple. Additionally, the amendment would make the overall permitting process for geothermal resources more than 9 times longer than it would take for oil and gas, in part due to new review requirements connected to National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Finally, the amendment would provide new authority for the Bureau of Land Management to deny geothermal permits in the final stages of the permitting process.
OPPOSE is the CEA Position, based on:
Proverbs 31:16"She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard."
Leadership Insight

Growing the Size and Scope of the Consumer Product Safety Commission to Impose New Mandates on Electric Bicycles and Scooters.

Against CEA
The "Setting Consumer Standards for Lithium-Ion Batteries Act" sponsored by Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) requires the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to impose new mandates on micromobility devices (such as electric bicycles and scooters) relating to lithium-ion batteries and fire risk. According to the Congressional Budget Office, the bill is expected to increase taxpayer cost by $6 million to hire additional government employees to carry out these duties over the next five years.
OPPOSE is the CEA Position, based on:
Galatians 5:1"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."
Leadership Insight
Freedom is not the absence of restraint; it is the presence of divine purpose. Christ purchased liberty not for comfort but for courage. A free leader under God becomes unshakable, even when culture shifts.

Preventing Voter Disenfranchisement by Nullifying a District of Columbia Law that Provides Voting Rights to Illegal Immigrants.

Against CEA
This bill, sponsored by Rep. August Pfluger (R-TX) prohibits individuals who are not citizens of the United States from voting in elections in the District of Columbia and repeals the "Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2022". While federal law prohibits noncitizens from voting in a federal election, DC enacted a law that allows illegal immigrants to vote in local elections. This bill repeals the DC law, which went into effect on February 23, 2023.
SUPPORT is the CEA Position, based on:
Luke 16:10-11"Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?"
Leadership Insight
Jesus teaches that faithfulness in worldly matters proves readiness for spiritual responsibility - a truth essential to First Freedom. Religious organizations that steward resources faithfully should be trusted to operate freely, not subjected to government interference and IRS scrutiny designed to silence their voice. First Freedom protects faithful ministries from bureaucratic harassment that treats religious stewardship as suspect simply because it advances Kingdom purposes.

Protecting American Mineral Extraction and Cutting Red Tape Through the "Mining Regulatory Clarity Act of 2024".

Against CEA
The "Mining Regulatory Clarity Act of 2024" sponsored by Mark Amodei (R-NV) would help protect mineral production in the U.S. by addressing the Rosemont judicial decision. The ruling in the case could upend projects by prohibiting "ancillary activities" (like processing sites or the storage of waste) on lands without economically viable minerals. This bill sets forth a process to allow mining companies to use, occupy, and conduct operations (e.g., construction of roads and other mining infrastructure activity) on public land regardless of whether a mineral deposit has been discovered on the land.
SUPPORT is the CEA Position, based on:
Proverbs 31:16"She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard."

Growing the Size and Scope of Government to Impose New Mandates on Private Companies Concerning Labeling of Cleaning Wipes Through the "WIPPES Act".

Against CEA
The "Wastewater Infrastructure Pollution Prevention and Environmental Safety (WIPPES) Act" sponsored by Rep. Lisa McClain (R-MI) imposes a new mandate on private manufacturing companies that manufacture certain premoistened, nonwoven wipes (e.g., baby wipes, cleaning wipes, or personal care wipes). Under the bill, a manufacturer must label all such products clearly and conspicuously with the phrase Do Not Flush and accompanying symbol as depicted under specified industry guidelines. The bill is estimated to cost the FTC approximately $4 million to issue guidance and to monitor and enforce violations.
OPPOSE is the CEA Position, based on:
Galatians 5:1"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."

Combatting ESG and DEI Frameworks and Strengthening Religious Freedom through the "End Woke Higher Education Act".

Against CEA
The "End Woke Higher Education Act" sponsored by Rep. Burgess Owens (R-UT) bars accrediting organizations from requiring colleges and universities to adopt diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies as a condition of accreditation. Additionally, an accrediting organization must confirm that its standards do not prohibit an institution of higher education from having a religious mission. According to the sponsor, the bill will "stand up for academic freedom, defend students' constitutional rights, and ensure that colleges and universities aren't forced to bend the knee to activist accreditors pushing political agendas as a condition for federal funding".
SUPPORT is the CEA Position, based on:
Acts 4:19-20"Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to Him? As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard."
Leadership Insight
When truth is silenced, darkness prevails. The apostles refused to edit their message for cultural comfort. Faithful leaders must speak what God says, even when it costs influence.

Gus Bilirakis (R-FL) imposes new federal mandates on private ticket sellers for concerts, sporting events, performances and other events concerning the disclosure of certain fees and itemization of costs. The bill is estimated to cost the FTC $4 million to issue guidance and to monitor and enforce violations.

Establishing a New Regulatory Framework which Protects the Crypto Industry from Draconian Regulations by the SEC that Hinder Innovation.

With CEA
The "Financial Innovation and Technology for the 21st Century Act (FIT21)" sponsored by Rep. Glenn Thompson (R-PA) largely prevents the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) from imposing overreaching regulations in the digital asset market (including crypto-currency) by providing greater regulatory clarity. Under the bill, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is provided with new jurisdiction over digital commodities and the bill also establishes a process to permit the secondary market trading of digital commodities if they were initially offered as part of an investment contract.

Combatting Politicized ESG Rules within the SEC through the "Prioritizing Economic Growth Over Woke Policies Act".

Against CEA
The "Prioritizing Economic Growth Over Woke Policies Act" sponsored by Rep. Bill Huizenga (R-MI) is said to address the threats environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives pose to the American financial system. Most notably, the bill makes changes to SEC disclosure regulations to ensure companies are only required to disclose material information (not ESG) and requires the SEC to publicly list and explain any non-material disclosure demands. According to the sponsor, "rogue Democrat-appointed regulators are forcing companies to waste their limited time and resources on ESG mandates that have little to do with a firm's financial performance".
SUPPORT is the CEA Position, based on:
Galatians 3:28"There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
Leadership Insight
Paul declares that social distinctions - including the slave/free distinction - do not determine value in Christ. Workforce freedom applies this truth: every worker deserves the right to negotiate freely, to keep their wages, and to be free from coercive systems that treat them as collective property rather than individual image-bearers. Forced union membership contradicts this gospel vision by treating workers as categories to be controlled rather than individuals to be respected.

Passing a National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which Bans DEI and Gender Reassignment Surgeries in the Military.

With CEA
The "National Defense Authorization Act" (NDAA) as passed on December 11, 2024, spans 1,800 pages and includes key provisions which ban transgender medical treatments for minors and limit diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs in the military. Note: this custom vote only records Democrat positions on the bill on the grounds of DEI and transgender issues. Another custom vote records Republican positions on the basis of spending.

The landowner's freedom to be generous according to his own conscience reflects the foundational liberty of faith and conviction. First Freedom protects the right to act on deeply held beliefs - including how we steward resources for Kingdom purposes. When government dictates generosity, it usurps the conscience God alone should guide.

Ensuring Fiduciaries Aren't Advancing ESG through the "Protecting Americans' Investments from Woke Policies Act".

Against CEA
The "Protecting Americans' Investments from Woke Policies Act" sponsored by Rep. The "CBDC Anti-Surveillance State Act" sponsored by Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) would prohibit the Federal Reserve from issuing a surveillance-style central bank digital currency (CBDC) that could give the federal government the ability to monitor or control individual Americans' spending habits. Overturning a Biden Administration Rule which Hikes Electricity Costs by Imposing Costly Energy Conservation Mandates on Transformers.

Against CEA
The Rep. Mike Kelly (R-PA) amendment #3 to the "Hands Off Our Home Appliances Act" would prevent a Department of Energy rule issued on April 4, 2024, titled "Energy Conservation Program: Energy Conservation Standards for Distribution Transformers" from taking effect. The rule requires a shift towards using energy-efficient amorphous steel cores for transformers as opposed to much less costly grain-oriented electrical steel. Protecting Consumer Choice through the "Refrigerator Freedom Act".

Against CEA
The "Refrigerator Freedom Act" sponsored by Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA) places limits on the authority of the Department of Energy (DOE) to impose energy conservation standards for refrigerators and freezers unless DOE can prove the standards are economically justified and not likely to result in additional net costs to consumers. The bill is in response to DOE's own analysis that found the efficiency mandates of the Biden administration could increase the upfront costs on refrigerators and freezers by 25% and it could take consumers 10 years to payback the increased costs for a product that may only last 14-15 years.

Protecting Consumer Choice and Preventing Bureaucrats from Imposing Overreaching Regulations on Clothes Washers through the "Liberty in Laundry Act".

Against CEA
The "Liberty in Laundry Act" sponsored by Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) limits the ability of the Department of Energy (DOE) to impose energy conservation standards on clothes washers. Under the bill the DOE may only impose such regulations if they (1) are technologically feasible and economically justified, (2) are not likely to result in additional net costs to consumers, and (3) will result in significant conservation of energy.

Galatians 5:1"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."

Strengthening Public Safety by Deporting Immigrants who Commit Sex Offenses through the "Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act".

The "Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act" sponsored by Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) would make immigrants who lack permanent legal status "inadmissible" to the country and "deportable" if they have admitted to committing or have been convicted of sex offenses or domestic violence. Under current law, a non-U.S. national is deportable for certain criminal convictions, including domestic violence, stalking, and child abuse. The bill makes any sex offense (including crimes against minors) or conspiracy to commit a sex offense a basis for deportation. The Rep. According to the sponsor, "in 2021, Democrats and the Biden regime unjustly used January 6 to prop up this woke working group to provide cover for unjustly targeting members of our military" and "has been weaponized and implemented to almost exclusively target Republicans, Conservatives, and Libertarians".

Protecting Taxpayers from Being Forced to Pay for Gender Transition Procedures Under the DOD Exceptional Family Member Program.

Against CEA
The Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) amendment #53 to the "Servicemember Quality of Life Improvement and National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025" prohibits the inclusion of gender transition procedures, including surgery or medication, within the Exceptional Family Member Program. The Exceptional Family Member Program provides resources to military families with special needs and is designed for military spouses, children, or other dependent family members who require ongoing medical or educational services such as individuals with asthma, autism, chronic respiratory illness and intellectual disabilities. According to the sponsor, "if you don't know whether you are a man or a woman, that is fine, go figure it out, and you pay for it, not the government from money we don't have".
Jesus upholds the principle that individuals have the right to allocate their resources according to their own judgment - including healthcare decisions. Healthcare freedom means employers and individuals choose coverage, providers, and treatments without government mandates dictating how health dollars are spent. The landowner's authority over his vineyard mirrors the family's authority over their healthcare choices.

According to the sponsor, "the DOD spent millions of dollars on these surgeries, and they do nothing to help our servicemembers. The follow-up medications and counseling are even more costly".

Leadership Insight
The landowner's freedom to be generous according to his own conscience reflects the foundational liberty of faith and conviction. First Freedom protects the right to act on deeply held beliefs - including how we steward resources for Kingdom purposes. When government dictates generosity, it usurps the conscience God alone should guide.

Against CEA
The Rep. Beth Van Duyne (R-TX) amendment #55 to the "Servicemember Quality of Life Improvement and National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025" would prohibit the Secretary of Defense from paying for or reimbursing expenses relating to abortion services. According to the sponsor, "in 2022, President Biden issued new Department of Defense policy using taxpayer dollars to fund time off, lodging, and travel expenses for elective abortions" and this amendment "will stop this unlawful practice and return to the Hyde protections codified in law".
SUPPORT is the CEA Position, based on:
Psalm 139:13-16"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."
Leadership Insight
David declares that God forms every person in the womb - a truth that shapes First Freedom's protection of religious pro-life conviction. Believers who hold that life begins at conception must be free to operate hospitals, businesses, and ministries according to this conviction. First Freedom protects religious organizations from being forced to fund, perform, or participate in abortion against their sincere belief that God is the Author of life from conception.

According to the sponsor, "the report will detail the effects the border crisis has had on law enforcement, including the estimated cost of all resources used to address the influx of illegal immigrants". Leadership Insight
Government authority is legitimate only when it reflects God's design - to punish evil and reward good. Leaders submit to righteous authority but resist tyranny. Romans 13 is not a blank check for government overreach; it's a framework for godly governance rooted in justice.

Combatting Lawless Criminal Justice Reforms and Bail Policies through the "Keeping Violent Offenders Off Our Streets Act".

Against CEA
The "Keeping Violent Offenders Off Our Streets Act" sponsored by Rep. Scott Fitzgerald (R-WI) would combat radical bail policies by ensuring judges and prosecutors know a defendant's criminal history, while also bring accountability to the bail system. Specifically, the bill would allow state and local jurisdictions to use Byrne grant funding to develop and maintain a public safety report for each defendant charged with a violent offense and report this information to the National Crime Information Center (NCIC). The legislation would also define bail bonds as an "insurance product" to require compliance with federal insurance fraud laws and background check requirements - thus preventing "bail crowdsourcing".

Safeguarding Democracy and Preventing Foreign Interference in U.S. Elections by Ensuring Only U.S. Citizens are Eligible to Vote.

Against CEA
The "Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act" or SAVE Act sponsored by Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) requires individuals to provide documentary proof of U.S. citizenship in order to register to vote in federal elections. The bill also requires each state to take affirmative steps on an ongoing basis to ensure that only U.S. citizens are registered to vote, including the removal of noncitizens from their official lists of eligible voters.
SUPPORT is the CEA Position, based on:
Deuteronomy 16:18-20"Appoint judges and officials for each of your tribes in every town the Lord your God is giving you, and they shall judge the people fairly. Do not pervert justice or show partiality. Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the innocent. Follow justice and justice alone, so that you may live and possess the land the Lord your God is giving you."
Leadership Insight
Moses commands impartial justice - judges who follow "justice alone" without showing partiality. First Freedom depends on courts that protect religious liberty impartially, without favoring secular ideology over sincere faith. When judges show partiality against religious conviction, accepting the cultural bribes of elite approval, they pervert the justice God demands. First Freedom requires judges who fear God more than cultural pressure.

According to the sponsor, "the ICC is an illegitimate body that has no business interfering with our sovereignty or that of our allies" and "the Trump administration was right to impose sanctions on the associates of the ICC" The sponsor noted that following Biden's decision to reverse the Trump policy, the ICC is now "engaged in a shameful lawfare campaign against Prime Minister Netanyahu for doing his duty to protect his fellow citizens from Hamas in the wake of the barbaric October 7th attacks".

Luke 12:58"As you are going with your adversary to the magistrate, try hard to be reconciled on the way, or your adversary may drag you off to the judge, and the judge turn you over to the officer, and the officer throw you into prison."

Jesus warns against rushing to court - wisdom that protects operational freedom from predatory litigation. Businesses today face adversaries who weaponize lawsuits to extract settlements, destroy reputations, and bankrupt enterprises through legal costs alone. Operational freedom requires tort reform, loser-pays provisions, and protection from frivolous claims that use the courthouse as a tool of extortion rather than justice.

Strengthening Democracy by Prohibiting Foreign Nationals from Influencing Elections through Contributions to Tax-Exempt Entities - "No Foreign Election Interference Act".

Against CEA
The "No Foreign Election Interference Act" sponsored by Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) would impose restrictions and penalties on tax-exempt organizations that receive funding from foreign nationals. Under existing law, foreign nationals are prohibited from donating to U.S. campaigns, however, there are no laws or regulations preventing foreign nationals from influencing U.S. elections by directing funds to 501(c)(4) organizations or other tax-exempt organizations. Under the bill, tax-exempt entities would be barred from contributing to a political committee eight years from the date it received a contribution from a foreign national. Nehemiah assessed the ruins of Jerusalem and called the people to rebuild what had been destroyed. First Freedom faces similar ruins today - religious liberty eroded, conscience protections demolished, believers marginalized in public life. Like Nehemiah, we must name the disgrace honestly and mobilize to rebuild the protections that once secured religious freedom. Walls of protection don't rebuild themselves; they require leaders who see the ruins and call others to action.

Jesus connects economic stewardship to spiritual trustworthiness. Economic freedom is built on this principle: individuals who manage small resources faithfully should be trusted with more - not have government confiscate their increase through taxation or redistribute their success.
